Tobermory Princess Hotel
The Tobermory Princess Hotel owner, Anna Roussakis is doing her part to help reduce waste.
Did you know that you can bring your own reusable beverage container or water bottle when dining at Pharos, ordering take-out, or staying at The Tobermory Princess Hotel.
During a recent interview with Anna, we shared information about the Saugeen Peninsula Reduces Waste – BYO (Bring Your Own container) initiative and learned about a few of the many ways that Anna and her staff are using best practices working toward waste reduction.
We wanted to learn more from Anna about other practical ways their business uses to reduce waste, too. Their vegetable waste is given to a local farmer, helping to contribute to a circular economy. And, they encourage their hotel clients to consider reusing their towels for a day or two longer, if staying more than one night. Their rooftop solar panels help to generate energy, too! Now, when dining in, or ordering take out at Pharos Restaurant, you can bring your resuable beverage container for water and hot beverages.
As individuals we can make a difference through the choices we make. Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose and Recycle.
Let’s start with something simple – Plan ahead! Choose a reusable beverage container for hot drinks and water. Bring your reusable beverage container with you.
We are so pleased to shine a light on Anna’s commitment to waste reduction. Look for the Saugeen Peninsula Reduces Waste – BYO decal at The Tobermory Princess Hotel and Pharos Restaurant.
